SECOND CHANCE PET PARTNERS |
|
Brandon Kennel Club proudly supports Second Chance Pet Partners by donating a portion of the proceeds from our yearly conformation shows and obedience trials. The Hinds County Sherriff's Office Second Chance Pet Partners program utilizes inmates for the training of companion and service dogs to be placed back into the community with disabled and or hearing-impaired individuals. Inmate trainers have the opportunity to learn valuable pet industry-related vocational skills they can use in obtaining employment when they are released. Animals rescued through HCSD-SCPP are given a second chance to bring joy to someone who will love and cherish them. This program is a win-win situation for the dogs and the inmates! |
