Established in 1985, the Brandon Kennel Club is a non profit organization whose mission is to further the advancement of all breeds of pure bred dogs. Brandon, Mississippi, is located about 10 miles east of Jackson, the state capitol.
The Brandon Kennel Club holds two American Kennel Club championship point shows, and obedience trials each year, along with a match show, conformation training classes, and other activities. In 2004, BKC began holding its shows in conjunction with Mississippi State Kennel Club. For more information on the "Magnolia Christmas Classic" click on our cluster logo on the right!
Our Mission:
The objectives of the Brandon Kennel Club are:
- to further the advancement of all breeds of pure-bred dogs
- to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of dog shows and performance events, and to encourage sportsmanlike competition at such events
- to conduct sanctioned matches, dog shows, obedience trials under the rules of the American Kennel Club
- to encourage ethical conduct and promote interest in the responsible breeding of purebred dogs and do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection
- to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of their breed as approved by the American Kennel Club
- to educate the public in the above objectives and promote the general welfare of dogs



Club meetings are held at 6:00
PM on the second Wednesday of each month. Visitors are welcome!
